Chaplaincy opportunities arise in the strangest circumstances !
The ecumenical chaplaincy team at Nottingham East Midlands Airport decided to treat themselves to a Christmas meal at a restaurant near the airport.
We had no intentions beyond enjoying good food and each other’s companionship.
At a nearby table sat a party from a company based at the airport. Recognising a couple of the chaplains, they announced to the whole restaurant that there was "a table-full of vicars" present, and demanded that we sing carols.
